There is something so fundamental about our industry that bothers me which I think about very often and need to get off my chest once and for all. A small thread about my interpretation of true adoption;
To me it isn’t about the $ price of my portfolio, the amount of new retail traders that signed up to coinbase, or even the fact that the BTC price is displayed on financial news sites. The large majority of investors see Crypto as nothing other than a speculative asset
If your metric of success is how much $ your portfolio is worth, then you’ve not truly adopted crypto as a potential financial future, since you’re planning to cash out to fiat and buy yourself some nice things. By doing so you are strengthening FIAT at the moment you cash out
