coming back to this to say that the whole time lwj is doing this/searching for wwx he also starts helping out at homeless shelters and soup kitchens and stuff like that, hoping that somehow somewhere wwx is safe, maybe hes homeless or needs food? maybe he's doing well and is fine

but he hopes that somehow this helps, it makes him feel like he's doing something to help wwx somehow. and slowly he enjoys it, it becomes more than just his outlet when the worry gets to be too much, and one day someone tells him:

"you helped me so much, its kind of like your soul is so bright is shines." and lwj thinks about wei ying, he thinks about his smile.
later on he sits in front of the grave wwx's family put up when he went missing long enough to declare him dead and says:
