I’ll never understand how, when a police officer kills somebody for any reason, there’s not a unanimous, emphatic response of “yes, that is categorically a bad thing”, like why is this a contentious subject?
even if, for whatever reason, you feel like police officers are heroes and not just high school bullies who never grew up, it’s like still okay to be like “yeah that’s bad when then do that” without a “but” afterwards
I have boundless love and respect for restaurant workers, for example, a real job, but if one of them poisoned somebody, it wouldn’t be some moral dilemma for me to be like “oh yeah, that’s just bad”
and before someone quote tweets this pointing out the irony of me asking a clearly rhetorical question and limiting who can reply to it, i’m not at all trying to have a debate on this subject. there’s a right side and a wrong side
