The fact that I'm getting ratioed so badly, and so quickly, over calling out someone for moving the goalposts, really says a lot about the "anti-tankie left". These guys started by saying there were concentration camps, then realized they couldn't defend the claim. https://twitter.com/ProletariatRis1/status/1381683372167073799
So then it immediately shifted to "Uyghurs are being oppressed". Which is like, ok, how does one prove or disprove something so incredibly vague?

And meanwhile, nobody will fucking admit that the US committed genocide in Korea (let alone other places). Nobody.
Yet they call literally ANYONE ELSE a "genocide denier". Yo. When you deny the VAST MAJORITY of genocides in the last century, all PERPETRATED by your own government, I don't know if you realize this, but that makes you a genocide denier, and a particularly disgusting one at that
The kind of rhetorical sleight-of-hand being shown in this thread is particularly frustrating to deal with. Everyone is taking this tweet out of context, and claiming that I'm saying "concentration camps don't constitute oppression". No, I said those aren't the SAME FUCKING THING
Look at the responses - everyone is virtue-signalling over being more morally pure than the damn TANKIE, who is suggesting that "concentration camps don't constitute oppression"!

I'm being called a Nazi, equated with someone who was pleased with the operation of Auschwitz.
But where is this Auschwitz? Where is it? Why is nobody even trying to provide evidence or prove their claims? They're all taking the existence of Auschwitz in China as a given. Why? What the fuck? How is this so easily believed? By so many people, totally uncritically?
Yes, I DO THINK FUCKING CONCENTRATION CAMPS = OPPRESSION Jesus Christ

I was calling these assholes out for moving the goalposts! Lol what the fuckk 😂 again, can I blame this on Vaush? Lol what is with this social phenomenon I'm seeing here, this anti-tankie RAGE?@
@asatarbair maybe you've had experience with this kind of rhetorical sleight-of-hand in regards to this issue?

Reminds me of the lead-up to the Iraq War when everyone took the WMDs as a given, and strawmanned the opposition by saying "oh you're ok with Saddam genociding Kurds?"
Like no, they were questioning the existence of chemical weapons stockpiles; not opposing the opposition to chemical weapons on moral grounds because they were Nazis or something wtf.
They were called "genocide deniers" too. Ironically, if they had actually been listened to, it would have prevented a genocide. A deliberate, preventable, predictable genocide.
