I’ll never understand fellow teachers who don’t think we need to do serious interrogation about racism.

Without a serious and critical interruption, their comfort in the status quo contributes to the murderous scourge our schools continue to teach as normal.
We continually see how agents of the state devalue our bodies, but the common response from my colleagues, mostly white, is to either disregard or, now, read a book about it.

It’s inhumane and evil. Let’s do better.
But it doesn’t escape me that “they should have just complied” is also on the wish list of many adults who stand in front of children of color.

Your PD on shifting mindsets ain’t working. Interrupt racism and work with folks who want to do the same. That’s it.
