What is Ramadan?

Ramadan is the 9th Month of the Islamic calendar. It's a holy month for Muslims. Muslims all around the world fast from the sunrise to the sunset for 29-30 days.
We don't only fast but we +
stay away from saying bad things, listening to bad things and watching bad things. We focus on worshiping Allah (God) and doing good deeds.
Does everyone have to fast? No.

• The sick person who has to have his medicine doesn't have to fast.
• The pregnant woman who can't fast doesn't have to.
• The one who is traveling doesn't have to fast.
• The woman who has her period doesn't have to fast.
+
• The old people who are week don't have to fast.
• Children who didn't hit puberty yet don't have to fast.
+
However those who can fast after Ramadan they have to make up the fasting after Ramadan. And those who can't fast they have do to fidya which is paying for someone to be fed.
