First, before you read the thread, would u like him back?
I will divide this thread into three sections:
I- Financially
A- Which players have to be sold? (not taking into consideration their wages)
B- Neymar's wages and transfer fee
C- What could he bring us financially
II- Sportingly
III- His law suit against the club

A- We all know that with or without Neymar, players will and have to be sold financially. Nonetheless, the transfer of Neymar will accelerate things.
I will start with the players that will most probably get sold, and the players that might leave for Neymar to come in

...
Pjanic: he could get us 10-15 million, after all, he still is an experienced player. Clubs like Villareal, Arsenal... would like him
Coutinho: he could get us a fee between 25 and 30 million. Arsenal, Spurs and Milan, until now are interested in him

Umtiti: could get us 5 million
Matheus: no idea lol
Neto: could get us 20-25 million
Now the players that might get sold in case of a transfer:
Firpo: in case of the purchase of a LB, he will surely get sold for around 20-25 million

Braithwaite: in case of the purchase of Depay/Aguero, he will most likely get sold, for a fee around 15 million
Roberto: if Emerson stays, he will most likely get sold. A fee between 25 and 30 million is realistic

Emerson: if Roberto stays, Emerson will get sold, for over 15 million. PSG and Betis are interested
Griezmann: as much as I like him, if Laporta really wants Neymar and Vice-Versa, he will get sold for a fee around 70-80 million

we are talking about Antoine Griezmann at the end of the day.
B- No need to hide that Neymar will be demanding a high salary, however, if he really would like to come back, he will have to take a pay cut.

About the transfer fee, either their will be a swap deal between one of Griezmann or Dembele, and some cash. Else, PSG will most likely ask for a big fee, probab between 150-180 million. Barca, will never buy a player of this fee especially in the economic crises
...
...
I see two scenarios happening:
1- Neymar pressuring PSG, to reduce the price, and let it be realistic, maybe a fee between 100 and 130 million/a swap deal, with maybe a fee of 70-100 million

2- Neymar stays one more year at PSG, and leaves for free, as a free agent to Barcelona.
The scenarios are advantageous and disadvantageous. The first scenario, is advantageous, for Neymar and PSG

as PSG, will be getting a high amount of money or a top player, with a good fee, and Neymar's entourage would earn the bonuses and commissions...
However, it would be disadvantageous for Barca, as they would have to spend a a lot of money and might even lose a good player

The second scenario is advantageous for Barca, and to Neymar, thus less advantageous.
First, Barca wouldn't to worry about negotiations with a tough negotiator like PSG's board. Plus, they would be much more stable next season financially, and could sign Neymar

On one hand as for Neymar, it would be advantageous for him if he REALLY wants to return, because it would make the transfer much easier, and realistic, for the board.
On the other hand, Neymar's entourage won't earn their commissions and their bonuses etc...

C- Neymar, will be expensive, whether he comes in as a free agent or not. Nevertheless he will bring us a lot financially.
First of all, Neymar is very "attractive" to sponsors, and kit sales, and to ticket sales.

Second of all, he will bring success to the club, at least competing for the trophies. Yes, that is more sportingly, but success brings money. To give you an perspective, Barca earned approximately 10 million euros, just for getting past the group stages in the Champions League
II- Neymar, will surely bring the club back to competition. In fact, he still is amongst the best players itw. The squad needs a superstar like Neymar to compete again. Messi turns 34 in June, and we have seen it this season, even if he is the best itw imo
...
...
however, we have seen it against PSG, Juve, Madrid etc... even if Messi was good, it is not good enough. The inexperience of the youth, didn't do well at all, we have seen it with Pedri in the Clasico even if I think it was not a bad display, but his inexperience hurt a lot
...
...
As much, as they (young players) are good, we still need a world class player like Neymar. Some people use the argument saying that Neymar would slow down the players' development. Yes he will, but they are still very young:
Fati: 18
Ilaix: 18
Pedri: 18
Nico: 19
Puig: 21 etc...
Fati: 18
Ilaix: 18
Pedri: 18
Nico: 19
Puig: 21 etc...
In addition to that like I said previously, Neymar will bring us back to compete, and this is where the young players will earn a lot of experience, and learn a lot, because Ney won't take their place, players like Fati, Ilaix, Pedri... will still get a good amount of game time
In summary, Neymar, won't hurt their future, on the contrary, during this period they will learn a lot, like I said it previously. Neymar still is 29 years old, which means that he still has at least 3 or 4 years at the top. And will surely bring us at least back to compete
III- Having said that, Neymar still has a lawsuit against Barca, precisely, against Bartomeu's board. In able to get him back he has to lift his lawsuit, and I think he will, because he was targeting Bartomeu. Otherwise he can f*ck off

My opinion on what will happen:
If PSG, get ko against Bayern tomorrow, there will 100% be a new transfer saga, in which I am very optimistic we can bring him back. The transfer will consist of a swap deal + money.
