Last night, I met this little girl when she and those in her group were picked up for processing. She was terrified. The man holding her told me and my colleagues he was her father and they had come from Honduras. 1/

Today, as I toured the processing facility where they hold children and families, I asked officials to track down this little girl and see what else they found out about her.
Ten minutes later, agents confirmed what we suspected: this man was not her father or a relative. 2/

He admitted to using her just to gain entry into the U.S. He will be sent back but this little girl remains here, alone.
