Short thread https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🧵" title="Thread" aria-label="Emoji: Thread">... Checked my email this (Monday) morning. I got a reply from @boo (my VP and current manager) EOD Friday. My first reaction was & #39;crap, I should have replied Friday evening, even just to acknowledge.& #39;
Then I realized that& #39;s a bad mindset. Speed in decisions and progress matters, yes. But speed to respond to every last thing is not the same.
As many of my colleagues see me working longs days, lots of meetings, taking on more, etc., it& #39;s worth being open how I manage that balance:
I almost never work on weekends. And I usually don& #39;t check work email either.
The answer isn& #39;t the same for everyone. I don& #39;t have kids, so I can more easily work into the evening when I have a deadline, am inspired, or am in a groove.
I& #39;m also not celebrating long work weeks; I do my best to keep it sane. Right now, I& #39;m enjoying the challenges and intensity. Find what works for you based on your priorities and where you are in life. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="✌️" title="Siegeshand" aria-label="Emoji: Siegeshand">
