... like the one Johnson has ordered into David Cameron, presided over by Nigel Boardman - one of Cameron's own appointees & by happy chance the same man appointed to conduct an - ahem - "independent expert review" into the alleged improper award of contracts to Tory cronies.
Nigel Boardman is a partner at Slaughter & May. By another happy coincidence, Slaughter & May were awarded a contract of £950,000 for "legal advice to the Cabinet Office". Just the man to investigate suspect government contracts - & indeed David Cameron.

No conflict of interest in the fact that Nigel Boardman is also a non-executive director of a major government department (BEIS). And no reason to worry about his firm's controversial record.
