I feel like talking skin today
let’s kick this off by putting everyone in their correct skin types. Select the category that best characterizes your skin type and stay tuned. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="✨" title="Funken" aria-label="Emoji: Funken">
Dry folks your skin is usually characterized by little to no visible pore activity. Skin usually appears to be clear of acne due to the lack of oil production but can be prone to other skin care issues. Such as uneven texture, rough/dry textures, redness and easily irritated
When it comes to being the dry skin type you wanna go for the hydrating approach. Making sure your skin is constantly getting the water and moisture it needs. Looking for ingredients like your Niacinamides, hyaluronic acids, and extracts from things that are naturally hydrating
How you cleanse your skin is gonna lay the foundation for the rest of your regimen. Making sure your cleanser does not dry you out is essential to retaining your natural moisture and maintaining the skins moisture barrier. I highly breaking your cleansing into 2 parts
Starting with an oil cleanser. The oil cleanser is gonna do a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to unclogging your pores and loosening dirt and debris on the surface. Then following up with your actual facial cleanser. You wanna do both for at least 60 seconds
If you’re not familiar the 60 second rule I highly recommend doing some research and learning it’s benefits it’s really a game changer . Here’s a link to help you better understand. https://youtu.be/a9yyZ9PysjI ">https://youtu.be/a9yyZ9Pys...
Also here’s one for oil cleansing https://youtu.be/3z0YPACfhBk ">https://youtu.be/3z0YPACfh...
Once you’ve properly cleansed. Toning, moisturizing, and protecting is essential for best results. SPF IS NOT OPTIONALLLLLLL
Now on to the oily community. Your skin can be a little problematic at times just because there’s a lot of oil production in the area and that makes it so easy for your pores to get clogged. But no worries a balanced skin care regimen will do you some good.
First things first I want to add that being an oily skin type is not all bad there are some perks. That consistent oil production protects your skin and will keep it looking youthful
Like all skin types you can benefit from a balanced skin care routine. Starting with how you cleanse. If you’ve been following alone you seen me mention oil cleansing. It’s not just for the dry skin types and it can really benefit you as well. Oil attracts oil
Always follow up with your regular cleanser to remove what that oil cleanser brought to the surface. When you’re done just take a second to look at the after. Look at your pores, feel your skin it probably feels way more moisturized and all you did was cleanse it.
Take a second to look at this list if you feel like you fall in the oily category
