this is fucking disgusting, im honestly not surprised but i am so fucking unbelievably pissed. this is beyond appalling
this is blowing up, great! reminder that adobe is a terrible ass company that hides the âcontractâ part by hiding parts of the payment agreement in terms of service.
as someone who has studied and has a cert 4 in business, this is beyond disgusting business practice and skirts the line of illegality, but just enough that as a huge corporation they have been getting away with this shit for years.
by looking up âadobe cancel feeâ you can instantly find numerous people talking about this everywhere. what essentially happens is that you usually sign up for the full adobe creative cloud programs or multiple programs as you so wish, and pay monthly for them.
however when you enter the subscription, you are usually not given the terms of service to read over in detail at all! you are supposed to directly go and find this information that despite paying a monthly fee, you are actually in an annual one and if you try to cancel early,
you will be charged a ridiculous amount to make up for the charges you âdidnât payâ for the year. and the most infuriating thing about all of this is that you are not even shown this information when purchasing!
so how do you get out of this terrible ass cancellation fee? well hereâs what you should do first: contact an adobe support assistant. explain to them that you can no longer afford the program. they may try to argue or try to get away with it. do not let them.
they will usually wave you off as an âexceptionâ and cancel the fee for you. this article was written in 2017. this is the exact same thing that happened with me and my mum when we contacted support, so itâs obviously not a coincidence.
this is why people are turning to csp because of this terrible business practice, and letâs be real: it is, in many ways, a lot better than photoshop. whatâs great about it is that it has a dedicated company that cares about its community instead of constantly
trying to rip off its audience, and you donât have to pay for a ridiculous amount of money - a one time purchase fee! a lot easier and theyâve been earning thousands of dollars still!
