Listening to @TheCryptoconomy bringing @dergigi& #39;s Responsibility-of-Adopting-Bitcoin https://anchor.fm/thecryptoconomy/episodes/Read_514---The-Responsibility-of-Adopting-Bitcoin-DerGigi-euh7t7/a-a56i721">https://anchor.fm/thecrypto... made me think again on the relationship between responsibility and accountability.

I did bring it up shortly with @MaxBitBuyBit, Bitcoin keeps us accountable.

A @michael_saylor might hypothetically speaking turn supervillain, and thus cause A LOT of damage with the amount of Sats he owns.

Like @bennd77 always says in his pods: “Bitcoin is for your enemies”. It does not care what your convictions are, the color of your skin...
2/n
If you truly have such a strong belief that Bitcoin is going down, you can go short on Bitcoin or simply sell Bitcoin for fiat, which is perfectly OK...https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤷‍♂️" title="Achselzuckender Mann" aria-label="Emoji: Achselzuckender Mann">

This gives someone else the opportunity to collect more Sats that is on the other side of the trade. Free market.

3/n
But every Sat you spent, is a Sat that you are accountable for at some point in time. Maybe we should see Bitcoin, aside of PoW, the only real PoS as well. Only it does not make the “biggest bags” earn more of the same, although they DO have more Stakes/Sats to spend later.

4/n
So if you want to make your point, that society should behave differently because *fill in your own motto*, you can put your hard money (Sats) where your mouth is. If you want to see Bitcoin cancelled, make your point by going short (leverage it please do!) https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤭" title="Gesicht mit Hand über dem Mund" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Hand über dem Mund">

When you can print unlimited fiat or invent a new crypto protocol any token becomes decision power to those that operate the buttons (print, premine or full control). Path dependency & mining cost of Bitcoin, ensures that each Sat is an equal Stake. Each sat has only 1 voice
6/n
Saylor (or any other well stacked person) still has to agree with a counterparty to accumulate more ‘accountability stakes’ we call Sats (or in their case probably Bitcoin.)

So any Sat spent to push any agenda, narrative is gone for ever, until bought (or earned) back.

7/n
Each hodler is stating that their Sats (stakes) are at this moment worth more than whatever to spend them on.
It becomes our responsibility to be accountable for the Sats that we hold, out of reach of those that want to use it (even via shortselling) for their own agenda .

I believe that for hyperbitcoinization to happen, Sats must be used in an economy. So I exchange https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💶" title="Banknote mit Euro-Zeichen" aria-label="Emoji: Banknote mit Euro-Zeichen"> 4 Sats, and buy with those Sats things I appreciate.

Without spending, no real use imho.
But to have that possible with small amounts I try to help out with LNhttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="⚡️" title="Hochspannungszeichen" aria-label="Emoji: Hochspannungszeichen">

In both cases, I put my Sats where my mind is.

Because by making those statements with my stakes/sats. I think I will make those Sats I have in cold storage, worth more.

Even when playing @THNDRGAMES, you are being influenced by this principle. You decide to give them your time for which they get advertisement revenue. All for a chance to earn some Sats.

Which is great! I do it daily. Others steal your time, without giving anything back.

Sorry for stealing your time if you read this thread all the way down to here https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤭" title="Gesicht mit Hand über dem Mund" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Hand über dem Mund">
Thx to the pods of a.o @bennd77 , @johnkvallis , @twentyoneism (the whole bunch) & @TheCryptoconomy https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🙏" title="Gefaltete Hände" aria-label="Emoji: Gefaltete Hände">-> https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤯" title="Explodierender Kopf" aria-label="Emoji: Explodierender Kopf">
I just had to write it down here, although I am no @dergigi or @knutsvanholm

Bitcoin makes us accountable, for it gives us the power to make the changes. Which seems to scare some no-coiners: Gone are the days of safe complaining on & #39;the others& #39;. We& #39;ll all be held accountable for the choices we make.
With great power, comes great...
