SHERO ALERT. Loved chatting with Robie Harris on the @amazeorg podcast! This ep is special to me for a few reasons [thread 1/x] https://podcast.amaze.org/839746/8303389-how-to-talk-to-young-kids-about-bodies-and-health
Having grown up with NOTHING in the way of sex ed, Robie's book "It's Perfectly Normal" was my first sex ed resource book as a parent. I learned about it via one of
@pplm's home education talks! [thread 2/x]
And "It's Perfectly Normal" is published by a local publishing house, @Candlewick, which is based in Somerville. I have walked by their HQ approximately 8 million times. YAY, LOCAL BUSINESSES. [thread 3/x]
Also, Robie and I share an alma mater, @wheaton. Robie is class of 1962 and I am class of 1995. @wheatonmaalum pride game was strong when we recorded! [thread 4/x]
Feels very circle that one of my favorite projects centers on sex ed (with @amazeorg). Tune in; this episode is so fantastic! [thread 5/5] https://podcast.amaze.org/839746/8303389-how-to-talk-to-young-kids-about-bodies-and-health
