Oh baby. Here. We. Go. The TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition is the best calculator on the market for AP Statistics. As an AP Stats teacher, I would be lost without it. Of course you don't necessarily need the color edition, but its a nice feature. It out does the TI83 because it has https://twitter.com/smartereveryday/status/1381589908121325572
Chi Square Goodness of Fit test and the invT function. Again, both incredibly useful. If you are in Calculus, I'd highly recommend the TI-89 Titanium. The CAS is extremely useful, and I wouldn't have passed high school Calculus without it. Would highly recommend to calculus
students. If you're just looking for something to get you through the day, the TI30XS Multiview is an extremely affordable option that has several nice features that my Algebra 1 students enjoy. The main one being simplifying radicals, and the use of the fraction button (n/d).
Finally, a new calculator bon the market called Numworks has me very intrigued. I've used it a little bit just on my own, and have been very impressed by it's easy to use interface and it's wide use such as derivatives, simple CAS, and statistics. Most attractive however to the
Average high schooler is that the Numworks calculator can be used on the ACT. Big win. It's also more cost effective than the TI83 or TI-89 Titanium. Did I mention it solves equations? Really excited for what the people at Numworks are doing.
Probably not a bad thing someone is trying to break through the TI m"monopoly" on calculators too. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
