catur-varnyam maya srstam
guna-karma-vibhagasah
tasya kartaram api mam
viddhy akartaram avyayam

TRANSLATION

According to the three modes of material nature and the work ascribed to them, the four divisions of human society were created by Me. And, although I am the creator of this system, you should know that I am yet the non-doer, being unchangeable.

D: What does it mean
Me : It says people are classified into 4 varnas based on ones GUNA ( qualities ) & not JANMA ( birth )
D : But vedas classify people on birth not qualities

Me :there are 4 yugas and each yuga has prescribed way of worship, prescribed scriptures and different life spans

There are 4 yugas

Satya yuga-

100% purity , lifespan 1 lakh years , method of going back to Godhead is meditation , prescribed scripture - Manusmriti

Duration - 17,28,000 years

Treta Yuga

80% purity , 20 % polluted
Life span 1000 years
Back to Godhead by performing Yagnas
Duration - 12,96,000 years

Dwapar yuga

50% purity , 50% impurity
Life span 1000 years

Back to God head by building Temples and deity worship

Duration : 8,64,000 years

Kaliyuga

20%purity 80% impurity
Life span 100 years
Back to Godhead by Just Chanting the holy Name of Bhagwan

Duration : 4,32,000 years

We have just completed 5000 years

Me : As it is clearly stated, Manusmriti belongs to Satya yuga, we are in Kaliyuga, Scripture for Kaliyuga is BG and Srimad Bhagawatam, why do you apply satya Yuga scriptures to kaliyuga?
