If there is something I really love in a story is when its ideas are interwined throughout all its parts giving a sense of whole and consistency.

And this is something that Kara no Kyoutai is doing incredibly well so far.

#KnK
In the first movie they talked about how a boundary between you and the world is created when you experience something that overwhelms your senses due to its magnitude in comparison with your previous knowledge and how this can lead to your downfall.
While in this third movie we see that if you remove this boundary that has been established, you will become something entirely different from what you were before.
It& #39;s fascinating to think about the fact that our knowledge being limited and the fact that we don& #39;t know that there are things we don& #39;t know are what protect us from this world. There are things that are better left unknown.
We are raised with a pre-established way of thinking and living, so something that defies that can be impossible to accept for our minds and can even change us forever.
And that& #39;s what happens to Fujino when se recovers her sensitivity and regains the ability to feel pain, that sensation overwhelms her completely and turns her into a complete different being that crosses the line between human and inhuman.
This new sensation is what reminds her that she is alive, that she is more than a walking corpse, but at the same time is what changes her.

She, like Shiki and Kirie (from the first movie), needs and enjoys this pain. They embrace it to feel something.
But unlike Kirie who didn& #39;t have the strength to face the world and herself and decided that death was everything that was left in her.
Fujino wants to live. In her last moments she remembers that there are things that she still wants to do and that& #39;s the reason she survives.
By acknowledging herself, both her humanity that had been overshadowed by that new sensation and her murderous intent, she is saved.
Through the use of supernatural elements KnK conveys the simple, but very powerful message that is "to live by accepting ourselves while carrying our sins".

(And without losing it while desplaying violence and cruelty, which I appreciate).
It& #39;s not easy and not everyone can do it, that was shown in the first movie with Kirie. And even Shiki is not capable of doing it for now, she has yet to accept herself and her feelings (which she is slowly doing).

But that& #39;s where KnK& #39;s main strenght lies: in its honesty.
Can& #39;t wait to see how the next movies keep exploring these themes while bringing up new ideas and nuances to them.

I am really happy with the series so far, so I hope it ends up becoming a favourite.
