I spoke with @Finneganporter at @BusinessInsider about Tucker Carlson's mainstreaming of white nationalist talking points.

The interview was actually conducted before he went all-in on the great replacement theory last week. https://www.businessinsider.com/how-tucker-carlson-has-downplayed-white-supremacist-violence-2021-3
Respectfully, I think people still asking "where are the Murdochs" after last week's comments are missing the point. Where they are is monetizing Carlson's bigotry. He's been doing this for years, and they've been behind him every step of the way.
Likewise, if you're asking "why won't newsroom leaders like Bret Baier do something about Tucker Carlson?" the answer is "he is busy getting rich."
Like clockwork, the Murdochs emerge to say that Tucker did nothing wrong (by lying about what he said). https://www.cnn.com/2021/04/12/media/murdoch-response-adl-tucker-carlson/index.html https://twitter.com/MattGertz/status/1381580373923094531
They don't even bother to come up with a good lie.
