Remembering brave Rajput warrior Maharana Sangram Singh I on his 539th birth anniversary. Maharana Sangram Singh I is also known as Rana Sanga. He is known for his bravery & courage with which he fought against his enemies. Maharana Sanga was one of the bravest warriors of Mewar.
He was a brave Rajput king who was known for his courage and tenacity stood united and fought against the Muslim invaders despite losing one arm, one eye and had close to 80 wounds on his body.

He was a Rajput King in a true sense, a valiant fighter and a king who is legendary
for his chivalry and generosity. Rana Sanga was the most powerful king of that time. Maharana Sanga was not only a great warrior who fought invaders gallantly but also a visionary, under whom many Rajput states united and fought the foreigners. He was a warrior with a resolute as
strong as his grandfather Rana Kumbha. Despite losing his one arm, one eye and numerous other grave injuries, he continued fighting his enemies. Sanga was very modest & generous by nature. The immense power, superiority or the zenith of opulence never made him arrogant or proud.
Even, Maharana Sanga's grandfather, the great Maharana Kumbha captured the Sultanate of Nagaur and defeated the Sultanates of Gujarat and Malwa. The Great Maharana Kumbha defeated the Sultan Mahmud khilji of Malwa who had a stronger force and greater number of horse archers.
The historians and people who supported this idea that Rana Sanga invited Babur gave a very feeble logic. Babur was invited by Daulat Khan Lodhi, Ibrahim's uncle. He wanted to take advantage of the weak leadership in the Lodi dynasty and usurp power with the help of Babur’s army.
Mughal emperor Babur records how his troops were defeated by Rajput forces of Rana Sanga at Bayana. His Mughal troops praised Rajput Bravery. In his time, kings of western India looked up to him as their leader. Mewar attained its exalted position due to Sanga’s fierce attitude.
Rana Sanga instilled fear in the heart of Turks. They (Mughals) had some sharp encounters with the Rajputs,...a foe more formidable than the Afghans or any of the natives of India to whom they had yet been opposed. The Rajputs,...prepared to lay down their lives for their honour.
