Lot of predictable sneering at this but fact is he's 28, is potentially at his peak if this form continues, and very much thrives/is a good asset in certain systems. Eye for goal, presses well. People criticise him because he likes to dance. It's pathetic.
Myriad of reasons why Lingard needed to leave United. He's also had to deal with a hell of lot of issues in his personal life that affected his work life. There seems to be a mood among some that footballers are robots who are immune to feeling difficult.
It's why I find the reaction to his goals in places so weak at times. "SHOULD UNITED KEEP HIM? DID THEY MAKE A MISTAKE?"

No they did not, because he needed to leave to find himself again. He comes back and the same things will happen that he wants to avoid.
