@HuddlestonNigel I’m hoping you’ll be able to help answer some questions. I speak for many UK citizens whose jobs require them to travel overseas frequently as support staff for an International Elite Sport. We are regularly tested and remain in a strict working bubble...
Some of us are also lucky enough to have received both vaccines and in turn, the environment we work in is well controlled and as safe as it possibly can be. Yet on our return to the UK, we are required to self isolate at home, taking pre-booked tests on days 2 & 8...
We cannot exercise outside, walk a dog, see family or it seems look after our own children when our partners are at work. We can only leave when it’s time to travel overseas, which in our case is often weekly.
In the UK, millions can now visit non-essential shops, visit pubs...
..some of which have never been tested since the start of the pandemic and they are free from any form of self isolation. I’m happy for them and most certainly not looking for their situation to change, but can I ask why we are personally under such strict measures?
Last year it seems International Elite Sports were exempt, but not any more, why did this change? Any answers or suggestions regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated.
