@emsque hi! I just watched your 2018 video on weird stars at the Perimeter Institute. Now I'm not really privy to star stuff but one thing that stuck with me during the lecture was stars dying because they can't make energy out of iron. I thought, "then why would they make iron?"
Now, I realize that its fusion and science and all and everything dies. Its just that stars are so awesome and this led me to question why the universe designed them this way. Why not an element that can continue fusion? Any pointers would be great!
Also, if you do respond to this tweet thread, thank you in advance for the free continued education! I found your lecture on accident when I couldn't sleep. Quite nice.
