Let me rephrase this.
Thousands of people are redrawing one artists work and I misread the room.
I can easily laugh at my 16 year old art as a learning step and I applied that to what's going on.
My perception of this trend wasn't taken well.

Incase you wonder what the art is this is it.
The DTIYS or draw this in your style has artists of significantly advanced skill placing their artwork of one of these images recreated next to it.

Or - if they haven't I would asume I am not the only one who is misreading the trend because that'd be a bit fucked for this artist to have to see their work redrawn over and over if these books aren't very old. Let me research.../3
Oh and HERE THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS WEBSITE THAT NO ONE SEEMS TO BE CREDITING WHILE REDRAWING THE ART http://www.ktcoope.com/
also in this thread, I'd like to go in to why a book publisher in the 00's would have allowed the artist to be published with an educational book in anime - considering the skill level and the popularity of anime at the time I question the motive of the publisher but /4
- but I supposed I can research more into this
