Welcome to "Why Life is Strange 2 is way better than Life is Strange 1", a thread nobody asked for:
1. Endings
Life is Strange 2 has 7 endings.
Life is Strange 1 has 2 endings.
Your choices in LiS2 actually matter and you will get a different ending depending on them. In LiS1, your choices don't matter, in the end you'll still have just one choice to make to get an ending.

2. LGBT representation
LiS2 has 5 characters canonically LGBT + 1 main character canonically LGBT + 2 other characters are implied to be LGBT
LiS1 has 1 character canonically LGBT + 1 main character canonically LGBT + 1 other main character is implied to be LGBT

3. POC representation
In LiS2, both main characters are Mexicans + 2 important characters are poc (Mexican for the 1st, Asian for the 2nd)
In LiS1, not a single main character or important character is non-white.

4. Awareness
LiS2 raises awareness about: racism, bullying, gun control, suicide, pressure put on mothers, misogyny, homophobia, cults, drugs, police brutality, child abuse, mental illness, alcoholism
LiS1 raises awareness about: bullying, suicide, sexual abuse

5. Main characters
In LiS2, both main characters are very well written and loveable. Sean is not perfect but he tries his best and Daniel is always learning.
In LiS1, Max is super bland and Chloe is an annoying wannabe punk who thinks disrespecting everyone makes her cool.

6. Villains
In LiS2 there are multiple villains and they all have a "reason" to be villains + it gives room to think about society.
In LiS1 there's only one real villain (yeah I'm not really counting You-Know-You since he was manipulated) and he's just... A villain. Nothing more.

7. Supporting characters
Supporting characters in LiS2 are soooo loveable and interesting, and they really have a background/story.
Supporting characters in LiS1 are so boring. Apart from Kate, and maybe Warren or Victoria, who do you remember? Yeah, no one.

8. Collectibles
Who cares about collecting photos in LiS1 when in LiS2 you can actually draw what you want + collect things that actually appear in the game, on your backpack???

11. Annoying parts
There is no annoying parts in LiS2.
THE FUCKING MAZE IN LIS1 IS A NIGHTMARE I SWEAR NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND IS ABLE TO LIKE THIS HELLISH PART OF THE GAME.

12. Annoying main characters
In LiS2, Daniel is annoying sometimes because he is a kid, which is perfectly normal.
In LiS1, Chloe is annoying because she's annoying. That's all. Yeah she had a rough life, but so did Kate and she's not annoying. Grow the fuck up, Chloe.

13. Powers
In LiS2, you can use your powers to do good.
In LiS1, you can use your powers to do good... AND THEN THERE'S THE FUCKING NONSENSE ENDINGS??? I won't spoil it but yk what I'm talking about. One person is not worth all of this, especially Chloe.

14. Powers Part 2
Daniel's powers are simply more interesting bc it means he really has to hide them, and you can't go back if you make a mistake, which is truly scary and amazing. In LiS1, if you make a mistake you can simply go back (in most cases), which ruins everything imo.

15. Main characters' love life
You can REALLY, CANONICALLY date someone (actually, 2 ppl) in LiS2. You can't really date anyone in LiS1, though you can kiss 2 ppl but it won't be an established relationship.

16. The map
LiS2 is set in multiple states since you follow the brothers' journey. In LiS1, you only see one city (and mostly the school). Boring.

17. The story
LiS2's story is just better. I can't really say anything bc I don't want to spoil but yk I'm right.
