daunte wright was a black man who was pulled over for a warrant, then the police used his hung air freshener (a minor and rarely enforced crime) to incite more violence, and his eventual death. i want to talk about how to spread awareness effectively

one, please use this time to comfort your black mutuals and friends. this is VERY traumatizing and tiring for black people to constantly see, and sometimes we just want to be comforted

this does not mean that we dont want to be informed. black death is very reoccurring so it gets tiring, but we still want to strive for justice

two, do NOT put videos depicting black trauma without giving a tw. this should be obvious. the correct way to tag is tw // *trigger here* , *trigger here* so that those with the words muted wont see it

three, uplift black voices. i do not want to see black trauma being explained by someone who is not black

im very tired right now so this thread is very short but i do want to update a list of dos and do nots in the morning
