god bless i thought the new isaac was just gonna be antibirth with adjustments and a little more additional content and now i'm learning that apparently there are fucked up versions of all the characters to unlock that have major altering mechanics and new completion marks wth

After unlocking & playing fucked up forgotten I'm genuenly surprised how good this dlc is & how much there is to it. The only bad thing is that some of the "rebalancing" just makes the game more of a hassle but this time a major negative comes from bad execution of a good idea

Also Isaac has always been a game that, in terms of themes and story, has always done a little with a whole lot, but the new endings this time are like actually something and not just nothing. Also the new final boss is really fun, and the sequence to get there is unique.

The alt floor's design for mausoleum is decent, but is kind of just another dark & drab floor that blends in with depths & sheol & is less interesting. Downpour's alt is poop sewers, which makes sense to capitalize on the existing amount of related enemies but like A: it sucks,

B: it doesn't even do that. I don't know if anyone wanted this game to have more poop in it. Plus downpour's aesthetic is kind of serene and unique but this is just. More brown. Mines alt on the other hand I absolutely love. Cool visually and I love seeing all the bone enemies.

Also I can't wait until someone makes a mod to put mudeths Antibirth OST back in the game. I wanted to give the new tracks a chance but that involved hearing the old tracks too and after hearing those a few too many times I turned them off again.

Quarantining all of my fail baby game thoughts to this thread. The tainted forgotten has a really high skill ceiling. By holding attack and grabbing the pile you throw the boomerang, throw the pile, the boomerang flies to the pile, and then the pile does its melee attack.

I would love to see a tas or someone really good show off the full potential of combos like this, considering you can change the direction of all three parts of that attack individually. The forgotten was already the funnest character to me by being unique but not minmax heavy
