note: (coming from a white person) non-black pocs + other white people, do not try to force black people to talk about this situation or any other similar situations? idk why this even has to be said but apparently it does. imagine how tired they feel constantly finding out ++
that their own community is being killed etc. black people are oppressed all the time whether we realize it or not. this can bring so many emotions with other black people in the community (that i myself have never and will never experience bc of my privilege) ++
if a black person is hurting from this situation or any other situation like this one and they don’t wanna speak on it bc they don’t feel up to it. then don’t fucking speak over them or make them feel as if they HAVE to. if you as a non-black person think it’s okay to do so ++
