Meg Masters (supernatural) is a perfect example of how someone can write an autistic character without having to overdo stereotypical autistic traits. What I like the most about analysing Meg is that she& #39;s a demon, she& #39;s not "good" and is very complex, and this makes
It even more fascinating when matching nuerodiverse traits to a character that others would pass off as a straight up baddie.

The first thing that led me to see Meg as autistic is Meg& #39;s trauma response, which is her humour and quick wit. After the fall of Lucifer Meg
Ended up being an outcast and could have quite possibly been in not very great situations. Her wit is more prominent in later episodes and I fully see it as masking so that she is not seen as vulnerable and doesn& #39;t crack.

She also has a unique response to emotional
Attachment when it comes to those she likes. Instead of appreciating the "I love yous" and classic friendship, she instead gives nicknames based off films which she has quite a lot of knowledge of (aka special interest) and sees her special people as her "unicorns"
I see this as her own unique way of understanding emotions and her own expression of love and friendship.

Another example is her reaction to "gooey feelings". This is a wonderful example of how sensory input can make us feel not so great, even if it& #39;s well intended! When
Cas compliments her she tells him to put up or shut up, and when Sam finishes his story about who he fell in love with she says "I puked in my mouth a little." Although many will see this as humour, it can be an example of too much stimulus based on being too close
To other people& #39;s emotions and her response is to go on the offensive.
Finally my last reason, which is my personal fave https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤣" title="Lachend auf dem Boden rollen" aria-label="Emoji: Lachend auf dem Boden rollen"> is that she always seems to have a knife in her hand (stimmy times!) My favourite bit is when she comes in holding an angel blade and Sam says "where did you get that?" Like my girl needs to stim Sam, let her hold a knife.
