They are playing on THE WRONG SIDE.
The board is flipped. Look at the Number/letter orientations.
It’s backwards..... think mirror.
White is black. Black is white.
Example: Whites rook is supposed to be on 1a... instead it’s on 8h.

It’s all about D5.
If white is black & black is white, black is in Trouble because the black knight on D5 (really a white knight) can take the white knight on C3 (really a black knight) free & clear because it is whites turn.
