i’m starting to think that some of y’all push for your idols/artist to start these “solos” projectz without truly understanding what it means for an artist to establish their OWN solo — and it’s starting to show.
this isn’t supposed to be a hot take or unpopular opinion... im just genuinely confused how people want their idols to branch away from their company and start “solos” but feel some way when that company doesn’t promote the artist solo.
it’s almost contradicting/hypocritical

i kinda see it as — being in group project, being told by someone outside of the group to do the project by yourself, then you go and do exactly that, only for that person who told u to branch off to get mad at the group for not supporting and relying resources bc u went solo???
dont expect your artist to go “solo” and expect for the company to support/promote them, when that idol isn’t receiving any resources from that company to produce their solo content.
a company is only going support when they’re providing or established the solo themselves.

Same thing applies for when these artists decide to create their own youtube channel, podcasts, or do their own thing to release content.
the artist uses private studios, personal equipment, their own funds, and personal resources to produce the content.

typically if an artist/idol chooses to branch away and promote “solo”, they want no affiliation or connections with their personal content to their company’s content — its a separate of character and business.
anyways — i wrote this thread unintentionally without any reason because im procrastinating.
