I don’t even understand this argument about whether $1.4 million is “a lot of money” to spend on a house. The BLM Global Network has taken in HUNDREDS of millions of dollars over the years that families of victims and communities that made them a national name have seen none of.
I don’t actually care how expensive real estate is in CA. Why are these people buying CA real estate while parents of children whose murders they made millions off are homeless? While people who were arrested at BLM protests as teenagers are still in prison?
They acknowledged taking in $90mil JUST in the time since George Floyd’s murder. If we estimate $50-$90mil/year, we’re talking about up to half a billion dollars w/ no transparency about where that money went. No community programs. None given to the families of victims.
Children were murdered at BLM protests. Teenagers were arrested in Fergusen who are still in prison today because a judge wanted to “make an example” of them. And none of that money went to their families or legal defenses.
So yes, put every single penny these people spend under a fucking microscope, especially since this could all be solved by showing the books if they had nothing to hide.
