So. Went through the process of doing a Heavy Metal / Metal hurlant version of my Space Cadet, not easy as most of Heavy Metal's iconic visual is more attached to covers and artists than characters. There are a few of course, like Den, Taarna, Arzaak, Ranx.. Who are your favs?

I also think that the undead from the B-17 fortress would be a great replacement for the astronaut's head:

I want to add some Druillet visuals too, and Simon Bisley's Melting Pot ref as it is the source of inspiration for the second movie.

btw for those who never heard about this, "Neverwhere Land" was a planned to be set before the B-17 sequence, but cut because of budget issues. A kind of fast forward history under the Loc-nar influence, pretty dark but amazing
