Today I was asked “do you have dress whites ready?” which might as well be a warning.

The ask, it turn out, was to help at the June funeral of a 17 year old Sailor killed in Pearl Harbor, identified last year.

And, honestly, I cant think of a better reason to put on whites.

Mess Attendant 3rd Class Isaac Parker, 17, was assigned to the USS Oklahoma.

He was killed during the attack on Pearl Harbor in World War II. He was accounted for on Sept. 8, 2020

Parker will be buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis County in June.
