To those who are so concerned ab APPs “replacing” MD/DOs, why are y’all not more concerned ab reforming med ed so thousands of unmatched drs can find jobs? The @TheNRMP Match does not get equitably get healthcare to all the ppl in the US who need it. #ChangeTheMatch #MedTwitter

If it did, there wouldn’t be doctors with 4+ years experience & no way to deliver healthcare to critical access areas. APPs are not creating the problem - the expansion of med schools w/o residency slots, lack of transparency & equity for minoritized groups & IMGs are to blame.

Inspired by @mahad_minhas and his tireless work advocating for #unmatchedMD and #unmatched DO students as well as pushing systems which NEED to be overhauled with the goal of getting GOOD care to the US population in mind.

Talking about if we’re “providers” or or not or disparaging our APP/nurse/healthcare team colleagues isn’t going to create more jobs for unmatched doctors. Advocating for med ed reform w/ even 1/100th of the passion & commitment brought to that discussion WILL.
