I& #39;m perplexed how overwhelming numbers of obtuse people can change fantastic words and/or titles into something negative; given enough time, sarcasm or ill-will.

Such as SJW, snowflake, bully or egregious (to name a few). In a way, it& #39;s pretty amazing to a + value give - energy.
"Social Justice Warrior" The phrase originated in the late 20th century as a neutral or positive term for people engaged in social justice activism.

In 2011, when the term first appeared on Twitter, it changed from a primarily positive term to an overwhelmingly negative one.
Obviously the term snowflake usually inspires thoughts of small, white flakes falling on your nose or tongue. A rare sight for some.

However, ‘snowflake’ was used by abolitionists in Missouri in the 1860s to refer to those who opposed the abolition of slavery.
Egregious was a positive word that turned negative. It used to mean "eminent and distinguished," but because people started using it sarcastically, it came to mean "bad and offensive."
Bully used to be a term of endearment for men or women. A bully could be a good friend or a sweetheart. It then came to stand for a swaggering braggart and than a coward who picks on others.
