I really need to find that article that speaks to how we give too much deference to “identity politics” as described by CRB when in actuality they never actually had a huge body of work around it beyond the statement.... we don’t need to keep defending IP...
I understand the importance of genealogy especially ones that we view as bound up with the work of revolutionary black feminists but I think we can just be guided by material analysis...and call it that no need to re-reference an IP that no longer exists.
CRB statement is a reminder for us to remain dialectical and to understand the ways in which gender race and class are structural logics of capitalism. They may mobilise technologically in different way but at their core they are the disciplining tools of capitalism.
