One more campus ministry thought: it’s common in a lot of mainline campus ministry circles to assume that the evangelical ministries will of course be large and vibrant, and that the mainline ones will be small and scrappy, primarily serving those burned by the bigger ones

(Often, of course, uttered with a bit of disdain for the “simplistic answers” or whatever that the other ministries offer)

And look: I’m not one to say theology doesn’t matter, and it is certainly true that a lot of mainline ministries tend to be a tad squishy, but just for funsies, what if...we funded and staffed a campus ministry somewhere like IVCF or Cru does and saw what happened?!?
