All these people with AOC hate boners now shit on me when I first criticized AOC in 2018

At the time I didn't like that she was basically a product of the DSA boss caucus machine, she was too close with Jacobins & RT types. I thought she'd be a campist, but she wasn't (in fact, she fucked up in the other direction).

I was critical of how people were gonna use her for careerist ends, and the general Pop Left trend she represented.

And I got shit on so hard by many of these same people who are now fronting as "Lefter-than-thou" anti-AOC types. Like, this is exactly what I feared lol

These people have careerist ends & they attach themselves to politicians for the reason *anybody* attaches themselves to politicians. They want power, clout, access, & control. They want privilege, they want hierarchy, they wanna dominate other people

So yeah this is exactly why I first criticized her, and the Squad and just the new populist rise of socialism in generally back then cuz I predicted it would turn into exactly this.

With the added bonus of rightwing entryism, hey!
