Infinity Train Livetweet thread:

Just finished my first watch, going back for details!! Most of this will be analytical stuff and screencap collecting for future threads.
One of the very first shots of the show is a railroad train crossing opening and the school bus rushing through

Very reminiscent of the shots of the train from the wasteland we’ll get throughout the series
Wow...I didn’t really HOW early on Tulip’s resistance to change thing starts

Mikayla says “your parents aren’t married anymore...everything is different now,” and Tulip all but storms off

When she fixes her game, she points at it and says lightly, “don’t ever change”
Tulip’s characterization here...she replies curtly, says “it’s fine I can’t go” and storms away when she’s clearly upset, as a way to get away from her mom and to make her feel guilty

The distance between them in the frame itself...and pic of the happy family next to her bed
1) Waiting for the Tom Hanks conductor to tell her they’re going to the North Pole

2) I love all the little bits about Tulip being a comsci nerd lol! She examines One One for speech recognition, also that room with the color blocks feels suspiciously like the Unity sandbox space
Hm...when Tulip jumps off the train here, it’s stopped. That’s the only time I can think of that the train has stopped.

Also, we still don’t know what the deal with those bug things are.

Given that Book 4 will take place in the past, maybe we’ll get some answers
Just now realizing all the hints about One One and holes...

“Bagel” mother because there’s a hole in the bagel, also in the Pin Ball room, One One pushes the ball into the gutter hole and says “this is where I belong”
“I almost found my mother that time!”
here’s another nudge at Tulip’s character problem

Her number goes down, and she panics saying “no old told me this number was going to change, nobody said ANYTHING,” and “did I do something wrong?”

Her reaction was emphasized more than I needed to be, I guess this is why!
I love this show’s character writing bc of how subtle it can be, but effective when you can see it

Because of her parents’ divorce, Tulip is afraid of change and of things working fine until suddenly they aren’t. Her first thought is always, is it me? Did I do something wrong?
