but has the serum ever corrupted bucky?

when zemo talks about the serum corrupting people he says “the desire to become a superhuman cannot be separated from supremacist ideals. anyone with that serum is inherently on that path” making an exception for steve.

BUT out of most people who through history has gotten some kind of super serum (steve, red skull, the winter soldier program, the project rebirth, etc); bucky is the only one who was forced to take it, he didn’t have a choice, he never desired to become a superhuman.

(side note: im excluding the black widow program cuz i dont know shit about it but im pretty sure they were forced to take it too)

so, following zemo’s logic, bucky isn't like the rest, there wouldn't be a reason for the serum to corrupt him and, i don't think the serum ever corrupted bucky either.

he might have some issues but the man has been fighting for 90 years, he’s a WW2 veteran, HYDRA ex-killing machine, has come back from the dead multiple times, has fought fucking aliens and has to deal with the effects of all of that with extra insentity bc of serum.

but the serum has never and will never corrupt him.
he was forced to do terrible things as the winter soldier, but as his own person, bucky has always been more like steve than anyone else who has taken the serum.

and to add to this, when zemo said that supersoldiers cannot be allowed to exist and sam asked him about bucky, he didn't answer. so, or zemo sees what i see what i see in bucky too or he's planning on killing him too, who knows.
