India is NOT safe for women and the video I just saw today proves that.

I just saw a video of a woman getting Brutally stabbed by her HUSBAND on the MAIN ROAD of delhi in the early morning.

The roads were filled with people walking and not ONE person decided to stop the attacker. Instead they either passed by the woman getting stabbed or stood and took videos of the incident taking place.

In India marital rape is LEGAL. Women who’re are forced to be in arranged marriages, essentially marrying a stranger they themselves might not know about can get legally raped by their husbands and they can’t get justice for it.

Earlier this year a rapist was able to get off jail by promising to MARRY his sixteen year old victim and the court let it pass claiming it to be “consensual”. Minors can’t give consent.

And that happened THIS year. In 2018 alone the country saw more than 33,000 reported cases. ONLY reported cases. God knows how many are there that are left unreported only because it’s considered shameful for the victim to be raped and not the actual rapist
