”sony doesn’t take risks anymore” is the weirdest take I’ve seen. Lets look:

*Releases Sackboy, after Sumo Digital got a lot of critisism for how they handled LBP3. A new take on the IP.

*Releases Destruction All-Stars, risky multiplayer game.

*Releases Dreams, a big,
expensive, and risky game.

*Makes Returnal, after Housemarques last game kinda flopped for them. No AAA experience either.

*Invests heavily in VR

*Invests heavily in new IP. Since Jim Ryan took over, we’ve gotten Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, Dreams, Concrete Genie, etc
And frankly... Did you support these games? Or did you simply buy games like Ghost, TLOU2, Horizon, God of War, etc?

Dreams, Concrete Genie, even Sackboy or DAS seemed like people didn’t even want to acknowledge at times... Even when given away for free...
Sony makes more money from their big titles, which is why the first parties will focus on that, XDEV and partnerships will still give us the risky games.

If y’all don’t buy Returnal, and then complain about Sony not acquiring them or not doing ”risks” I don’t know what to say.
