Out of curiosity, I thought I'd check out Wings' Twitter feed. (1)

First, the account name/profile pic/banner pic/bio.

I don't think this violates Twitter rules (it's clearly not the actual Ghana Tourism Authority), and I don't even think it shouldn't be allowed, but I do think it's interesting what this choice says about him. (2)

Before looking at the tweets, I again want to stress I'm not saying he shouldn't be allowed to tweet any of this. I just find it interesting this is what he's chosen to do with his free speech.

Also (apart from the pinned tweet) these are all just from the past few days. (3)

The account itself of course is mostly about entirely different topics, but he does occasionally nod towards cosplaying the Ghana Tourism Authority. (4)

Sometimes his supporters join in. (5)

Obviously there are LOTS of tweets against trans rights, but I'm going to skip those because

(a) I don't think anyone is unaware of that by this point, and

(b) sadly that seems to be considered an asset rather than a liability by many (most?) Alba supporters.

Though I will just say there were more pictures of trans people's genitals and stills from solo porn videos than I was expecting, which is to say there were any at all. (7)

(But don't worry, he didn't retweet them for prurient reasons. It's just that it's important we all know what bottom surgery looks like and see the evidence of the definitely real pandemic of trans people filming themselves masturbating in women's loos.) (8)

Ok, I will just mention this retweet, because it makes me wonder how Wings defines "Scottish". (9)

I'm not sure whether Wings wasn't aware of Black people's hesitancy to take the vaccine (and the reasons behind it), or whether he actually thinks the vaccine is designed to harm them and it's "mad" to deny it? (10)

Maybe the former, because he also retweeted this thread, which documents a long list of things which have ostensibly been denounced as racist but which the average white person would at first glance find absurd. So he's probably not really up to speed on race issues. (11)
