Here's how I spend #Ramadan
The day starts at 4AM.
We get up, take bath and make food(sometimes biryani) early morning and eat it before the sun rises. This is called Sehri.
Then you can't eat or drink anything till the sun sets. Breaking the fast is called Iftari.
The first 2-3 days it's difficult but later on you don't even realise when it's time for Iftaar. We invite people for Iftaar and our place and amazing food is served. But since last year this is not the case because of covid. I urge all the ppl to follow the same this year too
I am not a good muslim but during fasting you have to be, like you have to control your anger, be nice to people, no foul language, helping others, praying for others, helping poor in all the ways you can, and most importantly offer namaz for your own peace.
It is always instructed to us to help the less fortunate throughout the year, but in ramadan it's mandatory for all the muslims to give out 2.5% of their yearly income to the less fortunate ones. The Ramadan nights end with a long prayer called Tarawi.
This goes on for 30 or 29 days and then we celebrate Eid. It gets really very hectic but it feels amazing and that's why every muslim loves #Ramadan
Praying that this #Ramadan is the last one in a pandemic.
