This apology is unacceptable for many many reasons.

1. It took 24 hours to respond and his best excuse is he was asleep? Your team cant respond in some way during a crisis? Dont mask this as "your responsibility". You failed. Many times here.

2. You fail to recognize a pattern https://twitter.com/ECCOUNCIL/status/1380733225186832393
That pattern involves toxic and misogynist attitudes towards women. Should we forget the dress code you used to put in your text books for women to wear heels to have "credibility?"

3. You act like these arent your values, but when we look at the makeup of your team
All but one member of your executive team is men. 11men to 1 woman. And you have to release a poll as to why women are challenged to enter cyber?

Maybe its because men dont want to give up their power so women can sit at the table.

You cant solve this problem within
4. You claim an "over eager" employee blocked my friends and colleagues because they were afraid of job repercussions. You have indicted yourself and your organization for having a toxic workplace with that excuse.

Solarwinds blamed their intern in front of congress. Now you?
This was a failure in leadership, not an employee. Dont blame your failings on your worker. Especially when you admit theyre afraid of losing their job.

You have a lot of work to do on your organization. And words are not enough to build my trust back. You need to take action
I challenge you to replace half your board and half your executive team with women. I also challenge you. To give up your position as ceo and replace yourself with a woman.

You wanna show leadership? Be the change youre touting and making events about.
Leadership is not just about being at the front, but also about knowing when to turn the reins over.

That time has come. And its a poweful and positive message to send.

Words arent enough.
