According to me, there are two ways to look at it,
First — BUILDING Perspective
Idea worth from the point of view of Development and Execution
Second — OUTCOME Perspective
Idea worth from the point of view of Customer Need and Usage
Let& #39;s look at these one by one

(3/17)
1. BUILDING Perspective —
I genuinely feel as well as believe the fact that collaboration is a positive sum game.
There are 3 aspects to it,
a. Quantum of Work
b. The Trust Game
c. Idea vs YOU

a. QUANTUM OF WORK
First and foremost,
If you are working on a few things that you think you can do on your own,
DO IT ON YOUR OWN ONLY. Period.
Collaborating will not be worth it in such case.
It& #39;s when you have multiple interests, collaboration makes things easier.

b. The TRUST GAME
If you have an awesome idea but don& #39;t have enough time/ skills/ resources to execute on it, taking help might not be a bad idea
However, there is this BIGGEST Apprehension that people might copy our idea when execute it faster.

This issue is pretty genuine. I completely agree with this. However I have a perspective to share
The thing is,
PEOPLE CAN ALWAYS LEAVE [w or w/o idea]
No matter matter if it& #39;s your co-founders or paid employees (never ignore this possibility of people ditching you)

To tackle this issue,
I personally feel that we should, by default, operate out of optimism.
Meaning, if you think someone can add value — Trust them by default until and unless they ditch you.
And be comfortable with the possibility that they might do it in real.

This helps in 2 ways,
1. Saves you time to look for people in terms of running background checks for things like trust, ethic etc. which can anyways be fakes.
2. Identify the people who do actually wronged you so that you don& #39;t even think of taking their help future.

IDEA vs YOU
Stealing your idea and ditching you takes that person AWAY from the opportunity of working with YOU.
Trust me when I say this,
YOU >>>>> Idea.
Because Experience (you) beats Product (idea),
Always.

Now let& #39;s see it from the,
2. OUTCOME Perspective: —
let& #39;s take into consideration the best case scenario.
Meaning, your idea caters to a critical need a lot of people are facing problems with.
I have a few questions for you

let& #39;s take into consideration the best case scenario.
Meaning, your idea caters to a critical need a lot of people are facing problems with.
I have a few questions for you
(11/17)
Q1. Are you going to follow the journey of building the product alone just because you are too proud to ask for help?
Q2. Don& #39;t you think making the needy people wait would be so wrong? Especially when you know the need or the problem is critical? (best case scenario)

(12/17)
Trust me when I say this,
If the need/problem is real, people will eventually realised and build something for it (How good? doesn& #39;t matter)
And you& #39;ll end up cribbing that "This was my idea"
"IDEAS Don& #39;t worth much, it& #39;s your execution that makes the difference"
(13/17)

(13/17)
Also from the customer perspective, I have question for you to ask yourself,
"Am I, as an entrepreneur, interested in SOLVING PROBLEMS or concerned about "WHO SOLVES THE PROBLEM"?"
Because Customer Centricity is one of the most prominent THINGS in "Entrepreneurship".

(14/17)
"Giver gets more than the receiver",
To ponder upon the above statement, think about
"Why do we feel happy when we help others?"

Note —
"Don& #39;t shy away from asking for help, specially when you need it."
"We face 100s of problems in our lives at any given point, trustworthy collaborations makes journey and experience worthwhile that too without discounting on the outcome"
:)
