Not even in a particularly bad way. But it’s notable that almost all my friends feel totally lost at the moment.

Seems like quite a rational reaction too
They are all 27-46, no kids, had good lives before based on known parameters to life.
They had plans to move to Australia or to stay in LA etc , they had steady jobs ( and mainly still do). Many had partners ( and mainly still do)

But they just have no idea what the future is
They don’t feel miserable. They are not anxious. They are just in a timeless stasis. One with no concerns , but zero momentum . A sort of relaxed apathy.

Quite a lot of them don’t have much to say any more as they used to talk about things they’d done or ideas they had
A lot are quite baffled that we were so happy to do what we did, despite being OK with it.

A lot have seen 75%+ of their lives change
They contrast massively to my friends with kids. Who have all been totally and utterly focused on kids and life that they seem like little has changed and are deeply mystified by why people are that fussed about it all.

I wonder what generational divide we will see ahead
