BTS and their diverse musicality: a short thread. (my favorites)
Tomoroww: The heavy beats reflect the mental torment of feeling worthless and trapped in a mindless routine. But liberation can be found in the chorus and the bridge where BTS encourages the listener to keep going, for tomorrow always comes after the darkest hour.
Silver Spoon: Referring to the idiom “born with a silver spoon,” the song is about the power struggle between the rich and the poor. It is also alternatively titled “Crow Tit” or “Parrotbill.”The reference to the short-legged bird is a slur used in Korea against the disadvantaged
Hold me tight: The contemporary R&B track “Hold Me Tight” is a splendid product of the group’s daring. The soulful vocals and relaxed rapping will take you back to the early 2000s as the boys open up about a relationship on the rocks and beg their lover to stay.
BST: “Blood, Sweat & Tears” explores the unity of evil and evolution—that strength and growth are born out of a struggle with darkness and temptation. The music video has a glorious Victorian aesthetic and is filled with literary allusions ( Da Vinci’s The Last Supper)
Best of me: is a straightforward love song, where BTS expresses their gratefulness to their lover for bringing out the best in them and standing by them through thick and thin.
Young forever: lyrics, BTS captures the bittersweet feeling of basking in success yet understanding that youth and fame are fleeting. Toward the end of the song, a chorus of voices sings along with BTS; it lingers and leads the listener to a moment of contemplation.
