I wish I could translate everything that I see and read in Gujarat’s vernacular media this week. They’re the real journalists in this day of lapdog national media who have lost their spines. The reality is scary and heartbreaking. The state is literally directionless
There are two power centres now with Amit Shah’s CM Rupani being one and Modi’s directly appointed state party president Patil being the other (Patil was appointed when Shah was down with health issues and out of action)
Ideally, the circus of Narendra Modi stadium last month
Shouldn’t have been allowed and so is the brazen local body poll campaigning. Even now just till yesterday BJP leaders and party workers were busy celebrating BJP anniversary and inadvertently spreading #CoronaSecondWave
These vultures clearly have no best interest of people
Their interest is limited to their party and power. Poor small time reporters and journalists in small towns and cities report ghastly situation on ground but it won’t reach eyes and ears across the country. National media won’t report much obviously.
Those who dare reporting once in a blue moon, get silenced immediately using various tricks. You’ll hardly see or hear a follow up or a sustained investigative story from Gujarat in mainstream modia. In this regard, people who know Gujarat (and probably elsewhere too) should
take to citizen journalism and expose the real picture. That’s the only way to fight these monsters who now control media as well as social media with their huge IT Cell army. But surely they can’t control determined individuals ✊✊✊
