The things you do change, when you realize there is a difference between MONEY and WEALTH

You could have lots of money…

...but if you do not know how to build wealth, you will lose it all

Take for Instance; MR A wins a contract - and earns 40 Million for it....

[A Thread]
He is rich, but not wealthy

Why?

...because chances are that will be the last time he will earn the 40 Million naira

The wealthy guy is someone who figures a way to earn that 40 Million naira - like clockwork, whether or not he is working on sleeping

And to achieve this:
you need OWNERSHIP

The more ownership you build, the more wealthy you become.

Example: The man that DRIVES uber vs the man that owns THE UBER API - guess who is wealthier? (no disrespect if you are a hardworking Uber driver)
The man that wholesales cement vs the Man that owns the cement factory vs the man that owns the limestone mining rights

When you understand this distinction - you make better money decisions.

One of the guys i look up to tells the story of...
...how his father was given the option of getting paid money or getting paid with a chunk of land at Lekki Phase1

...he picked money. Today the money is finished, & even if it was left - inflation would have dealt with it

The lands at Lekki Phase 1 has doubled in value.
Ownership > Money. Ownership is wealth. Not money. Money is simply a spill over of wealth

The first time JayZ said this, i didn’t get it - but i do now

Mike Tyson was paid alot of money, but he has lot it all

Why?

He didn’t build ownership
Micheal Jordan is wealthy today because he didn’t just take endorsement money, he also took a share (ownership) in the companies he endorsed.
